What is an ALTA/NSPS Land Title Survey?
An ALTA/NSPS Survey is a detailed survey performed by a registered licensed surveyor and prepared in accordance with the standards specified by the American Land Title Association and the National Society of Professional Surveyors.
ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys are a comprehensive boundary survey specifically designed to satisfy the needs of lenders, corporations and title companies for the development of commercial properties. ALTA surveys impose a more stringent set of requirements than typical boundary surveys.
The ALTA standards govern the content of all ALTA surveys and are denoted in the “2021 MINIMUM STANDARD DETAIL REQUIREMENTS FOR ALTA/NSPS LAND TITLE SURVEYS” as adopted by American Land Title Association and National Society of Professional Surveyors.
